Big Build of the New Central Terminal B

Sacramento International Airport - Terminal B

Construction on the Big Build of the New Central Terminal B at Sacramento International Airport began in June 2008. The new terminal, scheduled to open in early 2012, will include a landside terminal, an automated people mover, a two-level roadway, and a 19-gate airside concourse. With the opening just 2.5 years away, the airport is gearing up to lease concession space in the new facility.

The New Central Terminal B is designed to reflect the Sacramento Valley proximity to two mountain ranges, and the canopy of its tree-lined streets. One of the County Airport System top priorities for this project is to create a diverse marketplace that also reflects a sense of place and makes Sacramento International Airport memorable. Sacramento International Airport is seeking high quality, unique businesses to help reach this goal.

This is an opportunity to bring a mix of local, regional and national businesses to Sacramento International Airport, said Director of Airports G. Hardy Acree. We want our airport to offer visitors an experience that is distinct to Sacramento.

As part of the concessions outreach effort, the County Airport System is hosting two informational meetings on September 24, 2009. All businesses are invited to join the airport for these informative sessions on the Big Build project, including tips on how to operate at the airport and how to propose a business for the New Central Terminal B. The airport invites participation from restaurants, retail merchants and passenger service providers.

Date: Thursday, September 24
Retail and Services Session Time: 10 a.m. to 12 noon
Food and Beverage Session Time: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

RSVP for location and directions by September 17 to Sarah Cannon at (916) 874-0911 or cannons@saccounty.net.

Sacramento County Airport System is responsible for planning, developing, operating and maintaining the county four airports: Sacramento International Airport, Executive Airport, Mather Airport and Franklin Field. twaitter Gator! After While Crockodile!

I Just LOVE this new software! I am such a "Twitter Dork" and have resisted really diving in to the Twitter Phenominan! But this makes it so easy!

"If you are one of the growing Twitter user community, you've probably been in one of the following situations where Twaitter can help:

  • Ever had an idea for a tweet, but wanted to send it later or at a specific time?
Want to setup your #FollowFriday posts throughout the week so you dont forget to share great tweeple with your followers?

  • Have a fellow Twitterer whose birthday is coming up in a few days, but you’re afraid you might forget to send a "Happy Birthday" tweet when the day arrives?

  • Spend more time on Twitter than your work calendar? Ever want to send yourself a reminder or remind friends or followers of something?

  • Want to participate in a scheduled Twitter conversation even when you are too busy to attend?

  • Want to have links in your blog RSS feed automatically sent to Twitter?

  • Want to schedule a tweet to go out at 8:14AM (and not 8AM sharp)?…You can do it all with twaitter. "

So Tweet Later with "twaitter"!

Remember the Milk and other important things too!

I found this awesome "task management" software that helped me get my email inbox from over 500 to 29!

I am guilty of "flagging" emails I need to followup on only to lose them in the sea of incoming mail that piles new to-do items right on top! So I decided I needed to implement a task management system so I can organize, prioritize and COMPLETE my tasks!

I am so impressed with "Remember the Milk" . I am using the FREE version of the software and LOVE it! I was able to forward my to-do's out of my inbox on my gmail and send them directly to the software where I was then able to categorize them by project and clients and set my deadlines! It was so easy!

I then deleted those emails out of my inbox and discovered that there were less than 30 that I needed to actually respond to or keep active in my email!

Remember the Milk has so many great services, including paid features and I Phone Apps! I am still learning about them all, but am so impressed with my free version thus far that I think I might be a converting customer!
